Immediately adjacent to the Rock House (learn more about that project by Cutler Anderson Architects here), Lot 26 features many of the same characteristics that make the Rock House’s location so special. Sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains, including the iconic Devil’s Head Mountain, contrast with the weathered sandstone outcroppings that give the Rock House its name and form.

No house has yet been designed for Lot 26. The buyer of this site is welcome to select their favourite from the four architects selected to work in the community – Cutler Anderson Architects, Olson Kundig, Saunders Architecture or Young Projects – to design the retreat of their dreams. A house location is specified and a building envelope of 10,000 square feet is laid out on site (all improvements must fall within this area). These parameters are in place to prevent disruption of the aforementioned rocky terrain, which is home to delicate flora and lichens that are hundreds of years old.

At just 1.59 acres, Lot 26 is among the most compact lots at Carraig Ridge. The lot is delineated to accommodate the ponds at the bottom of the hill, which act as a fire-fighting reservoir for the community. The nearest house in front of Lot 26 is more than 600 feet away, 25 feet lower and screened from view by dense spruce trees.
